About Friends of Thai Daughters

Our Mission:

Friends of Thai Daughters empowers at-risk girls and young women to acquire the education, self-confidence and leadership skills necessary to become leaders in the fight against exploitation.

Our Founders

Jane McBride and Patricia Zinkowski created Friends of Thai Daughters after a visit to northern Thailand in 2002.  Upon learning about the horrors of child sex trafficking and visiting area NGOs who were fighting this issue, they decided they had to help.

In addition to donating funds to The Development and Education Program for Daughters and Communties, (DEPDC), a well-respected NGO that has provided protection and prevention programs since 1989, Friends has established the Tantawan Study Program to enable highly motivated DEPDC graduates to continue their studies at the academically-rigorous Varee Chiang Mai school and prepare for university.

High schools, community groups and public libraries: $69 + $10 shipping
