RACE DAY

8:00 - 8:45am

Pre-race course briefing

9:00am

10 mile bike race, followed immediately by 5K walk/run. The clock will stop when the final runners cross the line and a short break will allow for racers to change clothes and launch their kayaks

11:00am

Once all kayaks are in the water, race officials will start the clock for the kayak portion of the race.

Noon

Approximate finish time

Noon - 2pm

Box lunch picnic in the tent or on the lawn followed by an awards ceremony and photos

DIRECTIONS

Go to MapQuest.com for directions from out of town.

Locally: From Boothbay Common, Take Cory Rd. From the 4-way stop to Barters Island Rd. Continue over the Trevett Bridge onto Barters Island. Stay straight after the bridge. Kimballtown Rd. is the first public road on the left directly across from the Baptist Church at the top of the hill.

FUNDRAISING GOAL

Our goal is to raise $15,000.  All donations, great and small, will go directly to the project in Chiang Mai. There are no middlemen or agencies between us and the children. "Suggested" fund raising goal/participant $375.

Participants are encouraged to seek pledges/mile or to seek support for their efforts from friends, families, schoolmates, or businesses.
